WASHINGTON D.C. - U.S. Representative Dan Boren issued the following statement regarding Friday evening’s storms:
 
“This is tragic news tonight for many eastern Oklahoma families.  Andrea and my thoughts and prayers are with those who have lost loved ones in the storm. The damage in Ottawa, Pittsburg, and surrounding counties is still not fully known, but I would like to commend our local and state emergency responders, utilities employees, and public safety officials for their resolve and dedication this evening.  I have already sent early reports from Oklahoma Emergency Management to my contact at FEMA. I will continue to closely monitor the damage reports coming out of Ottawa, Pittsburg, and surrounding counties.”
