WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Congressman Dan Boren, a member of the House Armed Services Committee, released the following statement regarding the report issued this morning by the Iraq Study Group:

 

“It is past time for a significant policy change in Iraq.  The Iraq Study Group has made a number of recommendations and I look forward to taking a thorough look at all of those as Congress works with the administration on a new course of action.

 

“I am encouraged by the President’s willingness to carefully review this bipartisan group’s recommendations.  As the House Armed Services Committee begins to hold hearings on Iraq policy early next year I hope the President remains open to the input that a bipartisan Congress provides as well.”
