HOUSING OPTIONS AVAILABLE TO PICHER RESIDENTS DISPLACED BY FEDERAL BUYOUT

 

CLAREMORE, Okla. Representatives from the office of U.S. Congressman Dan Boren and a variety of public and private organizations will be in Picher on Monday, Nov. 13 to provide housing assistance information to area residents soon to be displaced by the federal buyout.

 

“My office is here to help in anyway we can,” Boren said.  “The options out there can be confusing but this is an opportunity to compare the options and get answers.”

 

In addition to representatives from Boren’s staff the following agencies will be present:

 

  • U.S. Department of Agriculture
  • U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development
  • U.S. Veterans Administration
  • Federal Home Loan Bank of Topeka
  • Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency
  • Community Action
  • Rural Enterprises, Inc.
  • Peoria Housing Authority
