WASHINGTON D.C. - U.S. Congressman Dan Boren will host an official ribbon cutting and open house on Wednesday, July 1st at 1 p.m. at his new district office in Durant located at 112 N. 12th Ave. Citizens of Durant and surrounding areas including the rest of Bryan County, Atoka County, Johnston County, Coal County, Choctaw County, Hughes County, and the Lake Texoma area are invited to meet Congressman Boren and local staff.
“I look forward to officially opening the Durant location and welcoming everyone who would like to stop by and say hello. It’s an honor to open a district office location, and it continues to build on an already strong partnership between local, state, tribal and federal officials in the region. All citizens are invited to meet my family, my staff and several other various community leaders. We’ll see you there,” said Boren.
Joining Boren will be tribal and community leaders, such as Choctaw Nation Chief Gregory Pyle and Oklahoma State Regent John Massey, as well as Chamber of Commerce representatives. Also in attendance will be Boren’s Durant office staff, Joe Hill, the field representative, and Scott Smith, the office caseworker.
