Internships

Thank
you for your interest in an internship in my
Congressional office. Internships are a great
way to learn about legislative process and current
issues, and serve as an excellent starting point
for careers in public service. Many current
Members of Congress began their political lives
as interns, including myself.
The Application Process:
If you are an undergraduate, graduate or professional
student or a recent graduate with your own strong
interest in crucial issues of our day, Congressman
Boren’s Internship Program offers a unique opportunity
for growth, learning and meaningful service.
We are looking for people who are dependable,
enthusiastic, and professional.
Congressman Boren has four offices: Washington,
DC, Muskogee, Oklahoma, Claremore, Oklahoma,
and McAlester, Oklahoma. The intern’s semester
mirrors that of the school year, with the spring
term extending from late January through May.
The summer has two different sessions, one for
the month of June and one for moth of July.
The fall term is September through December.
Deadlines:
Summer session (I May 30-June 29, II June 30-July
29) applications must be received by March 15th.
Fall semester (September through mid-December)
applications must be received by July 15th.
Spring semester (late January through May, inclusive)
applications must be received by November 15th
