Congressional earmarks for Oklahoma's Second Congressional District

110th Congress - 2nd Session (2008)

$35 million in the U.S. House of Representatives FY2009 Defense Authorization Act
(see press release):

  • $15 million for the Excalibur extended-range artillery projectile the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant (McAAP)
  • $8.5 million for development of the small arms and light weapons detection system; the Ground Warfare Acoustical Combat System (GWACS)
  • $6 million for the construction of new connecting rail-lines at McAAP for expedited munitions movement
  • $4 million for the procurement of ammunition peculiar equipment (APE) out-loading equipment at the McAlester Defense Ammunition Center (DAC)
  • $1.5 million for power conversion equipment projects for future naval ship power generator technology

110th Congress - 1st Session (2007)

$4.9 Million in the FY 08 Omnibus Appropriations bill, you have the following projects:

  • $181,855 in funding for digital radiology equipment the Family Health Center of Southern Oklahoma in Tishomingo (see press release)
  • $426,174 in funding for the Local Wellness Center of the Delaware County Boys and Girls Club (see press release)
  • $490,000 in funding for the improvements to United Keetoowah Band of Cherokees roads (see press release)
  • $423,000 in funding for law enforcement equipment for the United Keetoowah Band of Cherokees Light Horse Patrol (see press release)
  • $188,000 in funding for domestic violence assistance programs of the United Keetoowah Band of Cherokees (See press release)
  • $490,000 in funding for road improvements at the Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge (see press release)
  • $2.7 million in funding for improvements to Camp Gruber by the Oklahoma National Guard (see press release)

$5.6 Million in the FY 08 Defense Appropriations Act (see press release):

  • $2 million in funding for bomb-line modernization at McAlester Army Ammunition Plant (McAAP)
  • $800,000 for ammunition peculiar equipment (APE) at the Defense Ammunition Center (DAC) at McAAP
  • $2 million in funding for the AIRS missile defense program
  • $800,000 in funding for power conversion equipment projects for future naval ship power generator programs for Westwood Tulsa
